The USC Viterbi School of Engineering is looking to hire a part-time faculty to teach within our Petroleum Engineering program at the Mork Family Department of Chemical Engineering and Materials Science.
The ideal candidate must have a Ph.D. in Petroleum Engineering or a related field with a minimum of two years of teaching and or research experience at an institution of higher learning or a research center. In particular, we are looking for candidates with experience and publications in soft computing using fuzzy logic, genetic algorithms, artificial neural networks, deep learning, machine learning, and expert systems. The candidate also needs to have expertise in oilfield subsurface data visualization.
This is a part-time appointment effective August 16, 2020. Applicants must submit a letter stating their interest in a part-time teaching faculty position and a detailed curriculum vitae.
