COMPANY BACKGROUND: Founded in 2004, Aethon is a proven global leader in intralogistics automation through its autonomous mobile robot platform. The software engineering team develops and implements performance and feature enhancements for Aethon’s robotic platform.
POSITION SUMMARY: The ideal candidate will have experience with the software development life cycle and the testing process. The candidate will have a desire to learn and innovate in a fast-paced environment to help improve our robotic platform by finding, isolating, documenting and tracking bugs through to resolution.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Document test cases, code automated tests, create test plans, perform manual and automatic testing.
Drive innovation and streamline overall testing processes by researching and implementing new technologies and testing practices.
Provide technical leadership in the areas of expertise to help make decisions to improve the software development process.
Work with a cross-functional team of engineers to solve complex, real-world robotic problems.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Computer Science.
Strong software engineering background with a knowledge of modern software engineering best practices.
3+ years of software quality assurance engineering experience.
Experience with continuous deployment and software testing.
Experience with writing automatic tests.
Ability to work independently and with engineering and production groups.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to learn.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
Experience using Linux as a development environment.
DESIRABLE:
Experience with Agile methodologies.
Experience with UI testing.
