Purpose:
The Ecoat Tech will be responsible for following quality, safety, and production standards. The Ecoat Tech must also assure that all applicable Lean Manufacturing and ISO Policies, Procedures, and Work Instructions are followed within their assigned area.

Essential Duties:

  • Provide, maintain, and audit standards for pretreatment and finishing processes
  • Lead daily troubleshooting activities, provide solutions and support for process issues or improvements
  • Perform lab testing as required to maintain consistent chemical usage and quality application of E-Coat and powder paint process
  • Record lab testing data into ecoat & washer logbooks.
  • Record and track usage of related chemicals in order to maintain cost and efficiencies of all related systems
  • Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas
  • Performing daily & weekly maintenance on equipment to help avoid causing system downtime
  • Performing other duties as assigned

Specialized Knowledge/Skills:

  • Ability to perform basic electrical and mechanical skills is preferred
  • Ability to perform basic math skills; use decimals to compute ratios and percentages, and to draw and interpret graphs
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Lifting required up to 70 lbs on occasion

Experience/Educational Requirements:

  • Degree or certificate from college or technical school preferred; electrical or mechanical emphasis is acceptable
  • Manufacturing and/or industrial paint shop experience preferred

Work Environment:

  • Heavy manufacturing
