Customer Service

First Transit is seeking a full-time Customer Service Representatives inKansas City, MO toassist families and car rental customers with information as well as assisting with mobility needs. Our customer service representatives assist the Supervisor and Bus Operators in providing World Class Service.

The ideal candidate is outgoing and approachable - you are a visitor's first impression of our organization. This person will be responsible to meet and greet customers to help with the flow of traffic, must be reliable, responsible, and must have a pleasant but professional manner and equally positive attitude. Specific requirements include strong verbal communication skills, a true "customer service" attitude and exemplary time management/organizational skills.

At the Kansas City International Airport, the Consolidated Rental Car Shuttle System is operated by First Transit, part of an international company employing over 136,000 people and transporting more than 2.5 billion passengers each year. We are looking to hire a Customer Service Representative for our 24/365 facility in Kansas City. The candidate must be willing to work days, evenings, weekends and holidays when required.

Job Responsibilities:including, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Provide assistance to passengers with their luggage while boarding and alighting from the Rental Car Buses.
  • Answer questions concerning airline terminals and destinations to the best of their ability.
  • Notification to supervisor of passenger's complaints or problems.
  • Must greet every passenger and answer any questions passengers may have to the best of their ability in a totally polite manner.
  • Dispatch buses as to which terminal drop-off in the RAC.
  • Assist in the boarding/alighting of passengers with mobility devices.
  • Procure SmarteCarts when necessary.
  • Provide Supervisor with assistance, as required, in lost and found procedures and coordination.
  • Assist in keeping the work and passenger areas in a safe, neat and clean condition

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand for the entire shift (8 to 10 hours) on concrete surfaces
  • Ability to work in a hot, cold and/or humid environment, in or out of doors.
  • Lift baggage on/off the bus(es) up to 80 lbs in weight
  • Push/Pull luggage (SmarteCarts) in the Customer Service facility, Rental Car Company lots and the busing area
  • Ability to safely assist in maneuvering mobility devices on/off the bus and to the Rental Car Customer Service Counters

**Must have a High school diploma or GED and be at least 21 years of age or older**
