Torch Technologies is seeking a senior level software developer for a large-scale Air Defense System simulation development effort. This position will require senior level expertise in air defense simulation development in both real-time and non-real-time environments. The simulation software is primarily developed in modern C++, but a significant portion of the legacy simulation code is written in FORTRAN, along with Ada. This position is in a multi-company and government group that operate in a cooperative badge less team environment.
This position requires the candidate to have the ability to formulate solutions to complex problems and direct team members activities to accomplish those solutions. The candidate should have experience across the software/simulation life cycle and be familiar with modern software development techniques.
Familiarity with LINK-16/TADIL-J messages, processing, and formats is desirable. Familiarity with Distributed Interactive Simulation (DIS) messages, processing, and formats is desirable.
The candidate must possess expert level capability in C++, network programing, and real-time software development. Familiarity with FORTRAN and Ada are desired.
This position requires a bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or Physics and a minimum of 12 years of professional experience. At least 4 years should be in a technical leadership position. An advanced technical degree is desirable.
Position requires that candidate meet requirements to obtain a final security clearance in order to access classified information. Inability to obtain a security clearance will result in candidate being ineligible for this position.
