Supports the development and facilitation of systems engineering processes to include requirements management, configuration management, data management, risk management, etc.
Supports the development of Milestone documentation and lead the development of the Systems Engineering Plan (SEP), Program Protection Plan, Systems Specification, Performance Work Statement, and/or Statement of Work (SOW), and Source Selection Plan (SSP)
Supports the development of Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF) Products, Concept of Operations (CONOPS), and Capability Development Requirements (CDD)
Identifies engineering tool requirements, and serve as subject matter expert on tool processes and procedures (e.g. DOORS, Project Recon, etc.)
Supports requirements decomposition to lower level requirements and/or specifications, identification of derived requirements, clarifying requirements, and ensuring traceability
Supports Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) activities
Coordinates across functional areas and external stakeholder to identify requirements and standards
Assess/conducts/reviews systems level trade studies and analysis to support development and decomposition of requirements.
Supports Science and Technology transition activities in support of requirements generation, Technology Targeting Risk Assessments (TTRAs), and Technology Readiness Assessments
Provide input into development and documentation of technical and contract requirements
Supports the Functional Hazard Analysis (FHA) development
Bachelor's Degree in Aerospace Engineering, a related field or equivalent experience. Ten years related aerospace engineering experience or in a technical field related to Aviation,
3 years in a Project Management Office and/or 3 years of Major DOD Prime Contractor Experience of a Major Acquisition Program
Systems Engineering Experience on a complex acquisition program
Experience working Army Aviation Development Programs
Experience developing a system performance specification
Familiarity with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), DODI 5000.02, and OSD SE policies and guidance
Working knowledge through application of Model Based Systems Engineering Tools and methodologies
Familiarity with DoDAF products
Experience developing and implementing tools to conduct requirements management and traceability, configuration management, risk management, and data management
Ability to support complex development and engineering projects, work effectively with others, and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Ability to work as part of a team conducting trade studies, technical projects, or problem resolution
Ability to develop strong working relationships and rapport with subordinate, peer, and management personnel within the home organization and with contemporary organizations and contract partners
