Job Description

Brake Press Operator / Technician (2nd Shift) and (3rd Shift) $18-$25

Small privately held metal stamper and fabricator seeks a brake press operator to be part of our team.

We do a wide variety of different jobs and parts for different OEMs. Our brake press department has one (1) Trumpf Trubend 7050 brake press and two (2) Ermark hydraulic brake presses (275 ton & 350 ton). It is small department with three people, so the candidate will have the opportunity to drive process improvements in this area and work with our engineering staff.

There is a predictable work schedule, Monday - Thursday with occasional mandatory overtime on Fridays (max would be two weeks per month). There are abundant opportunities for voluntary overtime on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.

Summary

Perform all necessary functions on press brakes that are required to program and produce a part to print.

Other duties as assigned by supervisor or management.

Qualifications

* Must be able to read and follow written and verbal instruction from supervisor or lead person

* Ability to handle a physical workload.

* Be able to lift at least 50 pounds.

* A complete understanding of press brake controls, operation, tooling, and programming.

* Be able to interpret drawings, measure parts, and make adjustments based on those measurements.

* Must have or be able to obtain ATACO forklift license.

Hours: Position may be eligible for a flexible schedule, standard shift hours are:

2nd Shift (2:00 PM - midnight, Monday - Thursday)

Starting wage subject to negotiation based on experience and ability but typically $18-$25.00,

plus a $2 bonus if attendance is maintained and $.25 minimum gainsharing payout.
