Develops and executes the product management strategy for a product category in existing and new regions. Develops and executes a rolling three year product plan and portfolio strategy including new product introductions, product lifecycle management and profitability. Defines product and technology roadmaps by evaluating and analyzing key customer needs, market trends and competitive intelligence. Manages technical communication and coordination between all business functions.
Evaluates channel marketing needs, recommendations to leadership for strategic planning
Metrics reporting and assist with achieving annual sell-thru objectives for assigned channel of distribution
Works with Sales & Field Training leadership to incorporate education and training materials in marketing programs
Maintains and updates market intelligence databases on pricing, market shares, volumes, and competitive landscape.
Executes and manages product lines strategy, as well as new product development initiatives for assigned products
Collaborate as key member to the product development programs within the New Product Development (NPD) Process
Collaborates to develop 3 year product plans, update technology roadmaps for innovation planning 5+ years out
Coordinates with Sales & Marketing leadership to define the go-to-market strategy
Development of presentation materials, literature/documentation and trade events
Develops and delivers product and business strategy presentations
Participates in NPD process updates, cost reduction and profit improvement efforts
May perform full range of managerial responsibilities which may include but not limited to: interviewing, hiring, coaching and developing employees; planning, assigning and directing work; EEO/AA; performance management; department budget
Performs other duties as assigned
Strong knowledge of Business-Consumer and Business-to-Business marketing practices
Proven ability to successfully manage several assignments simultaneously an to coordinate with multiple departments at all levels of the organization
