What We Do:

Using 66 satellites orbiting 780 km above the Earth, Aireon collects real-time position and status data from aircraft around the globe. This data is used for air traffic control, air traffic flow management, airlines, and operators worldwide.

Job Overview:

As a Senior Azure DevOps Engineer, you will be critical to the engineering lifecycle, including estimating, technical design, implementation/development, documentation, testing, deployment, and production operations support of Aireon's cloud-based systems for our external and internal customers. You will work within the engineering group's high-tech Integrated Product Team which is focused on new technology.

What You'll Do:

Improve and manage source control, continuous integration, continuous delivery (CI/CD), and release management strategies on Azure.
• Develop an instrumentation strategy and plans to deploy monitoring, metrics, alerting, and logging systems on Azure.
• Implement and automate security controls, cloud governance processes, and CI/CD policy compliance.
• Design, manage and maintain tools to automate operational processes, including procedures to address technical commitments and boost sustainability. Be proactive in recognizing and handling performance challenges.

Experience/Education Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering, or related field.
• 5 or more years of working experience with application teams, infrastructure teams, and operations teams implementing solutions to enable CI/CD and release automation.
• 3 or more years of cloud DevOps engineering experience, including configuration, provisioning, operating, and managing containerized and non- containerized environments on Azure.
• Working experience developing code in C#, JavaScript, Java, Python, etc.
• Strong understanding of modern cloud-based development and operations processes and methodologies.
