Our New Jersey Facilities

Nursing & Rehab in Brick provides both short-term and sub-acute rehabilitation programs for patients as an alternative to prolonged hospital care. In this 137 bed facility patients receive various services on site in order to eliminate re-hospitalization. Brick is the only skilled nursing facility in New Jersey to receive the Advanced Certification in Heart Failure from the Joint Commission in conjunction with American Heart Association. It's conveniently located near Parkway Exit 91, just down the street from Ocean Medical Center.

Manor By the Sea in Ocean Grove is a 147 bed inpatient nursing & subacute rehabilitation facility providing personalized medical care programs for Long-Term and Short-Term Nursing & Rehabilitation to patients of all ages. Our services are an alternative to prolonged hospital care. The facility provides easily accessible living space with luxurious amenities and beautifully decorated private and common areas which make our patients feel at home. The subacute unit offers the latest technologies, design, equipment and spaciously well-appointed rooms, including private bedrooms and living space for bariatric and palliative care patients. This location is easily accessible by public transportation, located right between Bradley Beach and Asbury Park.

Nursing & Rehab in Wall is strictly a rehabilitation facility with 126 beds caring for patients of all ages whose length of stay can range from three days to several weeks. This facility has achieved the Pathway to Excellence designation by the American Nurses Credentialing Center, signifying based on team member job satisfaction that nurses can flourish and feel empowered in their careers. Also, this facility is CARF Certified (Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities), which means that standards for providing top-quality services and the best rehab care have been achieved. This facility is not far from Garden State Parkway Exit 98.

Nursing & Rehab in Shrewsbury provides a wide range of short- and long-term medical and rehabilitation programs. Meridian Nursing & Rehab's continuum of care approach helps achieve the most successful outcomes. The Subacute Care Unit at Meridian Nursing & Rehab at Shrewsbury has 140 beds and cares for patients who require complex medical care, requiring skilled nursing and progressive rehabilitation services. Shrewsbury also offers palliative and hospice care on site. This facility is conveniently located between Red Bank and Eatontown.

Bayshore Health Care Center in Holmdel, located on the Bayshore Medical Center campus right off Garden State Parkway Exit 117, is a Medicare and Medicaid-approved skilled nursing facility with 232 total licensed beds including 121 long-term nursing care beds, 37 Alzheimer's/Dementia unit beds, 52 subacute rehabilitation beds, and a separate 11-bed Ventilator Unit. The center's central location on the hospital's campus offers residents immediate access to acute care and diagnostic services.

The Willows in Holmdel is an assisted living facility adjacent to Bayshore Health Care Center and Bayshore Medical Center, near Garden State Parkway Exit 117. With 74 beds, this facility provides comprehensive services, amenities and support tailored to the unique needs of each resident. Our registered nurses will assess each patient's individual needs and develop a personalized program of assistance designed to promote health, safety, independence and dignity. In addition to receiving assistance with daily tasks such as housekeeping, medication administration and personal care, residents of our all-inclusive assisted living communities enjoy restaurant-style dining, entertainment, social events, games and trips - all specially designed to keep residents engaged, vibrant and active.

The Hartwyck at Oak Tree in Edison, a 120 bed facility, is a very unique facility offering highly skilled and specialized care. This facility is recognized as a Five-Star Facility by the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services. In addition to providing long term care, Oak Tree offers specialty care for ventilator patients as well as those with traumatic brain injury. The treatment team consists of physical therapists, social workers, recreation therapists, as well as specialized treatment care providers, including respiratory therapists, cognitive therapists, head trauma nurses and specially trained support staff. Oak Tree is one of the few facilities in the area offering such comprehensive services making our facility truly one of a kind.

Whispering Knoll in Edison offers an alternative for people who are looking for more than just senior housing; it offers them a special place to call home. The Food Service Worker / Dietary Aide performs specific tasks in Food Service Department. The Dietary Aide assists in keeping the dining and cooking areas clean, sanitary, and running smoothly.

A day in the life of a Food Service Worker / Dietary Aide at Hackensack Meridian Health can be described as follows:

Completes assignment daily accurately and timely
• Sets up/cleans tray carts and dining room
• Cleans and scrapes dishes in preparation for washing and stores dishes after they are dry
• Cleans kitchen areas such as coffee and juice machines, cupboards, refrigerator, dining room tables
• Dishes out salad and desserts
• Assists in food preparation such as making toast, butter bread and preparing fresh fruit and vegetables
• Helps serve when needed
• Completes all assignments in regards to daily food preparation i.e. tray assembly positions according to department procedures
• Prepares and delivers food to resident floors or informs Nursing Services
• Delivers and retrieves resident trays according to departmental procedure
• Receives soiled trays, removes soiled dishes and transports cleaned and dried trays and permanent-ware to proper places
• Prepares, heats and delivers late or hold trays. Assists resident with cover, table and food questions
• Follows all sanitation and Infection Control procedures
• Masters dish room assignment
• Readies dishwasher for proper operations by placing all dishes, lids and trays on racks
• Soak dishes, silverware and cups to remove food particles and stains
• Discards chipped dishware
• Masters cleaning and maintenance of disposals and conveyor belt (removes and cleans cord guides)
• Monitors cafe trays and prevents back ups
• Cleans and maintains equipment and food contact surfaces. Performs quality control check to ensure high standard. Meets all meal deadlines
• Removes and disposes of all garbage and trash, including liquid waste, to proper areas
• Washes hands frequently and prior to returning or starting work. Wears gloves according to policy and removes them and reapplies them when appropriate

• High School or GED preferred
• Ability to read, write and speak English and follow oral and written instructions is required
