ANSI is currently in search of an entry level Online Marketing Specialist. This position has a wide scope of work, focusing primarily on creating content for social media and advising paid social media advertising campaigns. Due to ANSI’s diverse clientele, an ideal candidate would possess a natural curiosity about the world, have strong writing skills, be fascinated with the Internet and web technologies, or have studied a social or physical science. If you like intelligent debate and can solve new problems, then you might be a good fit.
Principal Responsibilities
Utilizes in-house resources for execution of promotional campaigns in all social media channels (Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, LinkedIn, etc.), working collaboratively to define timelines, target demographics, budget allocation, and creative objectives to support product marketing plan.
Creates new content (graphics, tweets, posts, videos) for owned and paid social media.
Aids in the execution of social media-based advertising and PR campaigns, devising strategies to ensure they meet their objectives for messaging, targeting, positioning, revenue, traffic, awareness, and other goals.
Continuously looks for opportunities for improvement in existing social media platforms, as well as identifying potential new platforms and services currently untouched by the organization and industry.
Monitors the influx of questions, messages, comments, and other mentions on social media, responding in a timely manner to increase organization communication and advance social media accounts.
Observes discussions on social media or other public platforms relevant to ANSI for general questions and to find new opportunities for content on ANSI websites.
Coordinates promotions with Online Marketing department, as well as others within the organization.
Reviews news, industry events, blogs, and other developments to gain insight into market opportunities and/or post these articles to social media.
Other duties as assigned.
Education and Training
College degree or equivalent, major in humanities, marketing, or any discipline requiring critical thinking.
0-2+ years marketing experience.
Certifications in Google Analytics, Facebook Blueprint, Hubspot, and other relevant marketing subjects a major plus.
Skills and Experience
Comfortable with ambiguity and capable of making decisions in the absence of complete information.
Clear writing talent a must.
Basic advertising experience, such as positioning, ad copy and graphics.
Willingness to learn basic web technologies e.g. Google Analytics, SEO, HTML, CSS, Javascript.
Comfortable with Adobe Spark, Photoshop, Canva, or similar applications.
Certifications for Google Analytics/Ads, Facebook BluePrint, Hubspot, etc. a plus.
