Job Description
A promotional opportunity at ANSI has led to our search for a Sales Manager in our Subscription Sales Department.  The Manager will have responsibility for the external sales of standards collections in western region of the U.S. This includes selling access to standards collections and services to new customers, renew existing customers, and transition customers and prospects to the delivery systems that best meet their needs. The Manager will be part of a team focusing on growth and revenue goals across ANSI.  

Key responsibilities include 
  • Develop objectives, set targets and implement the working plans for all of ANSI’s networking and subscription sales in designated territory.
  • Serve as the key contact for external accounts in assigned territory, working closely with business development, customer support, product management, and marketing to successfully meet assigned revenue and budget objectives while working toward overall customer satisfaction.
  • Develop sales forecasts, customer quotations and proposals, and coordinate with the Director of Sales on all major sales activities.
  • Actively track existing customers, manage on-going communications, manage the site license invoice collection process, and effectively utilize resources in support of customer requirements and record all customer correspondence.
  • Keep account records information up-to-date
  • Manage paperwork flow and retention,
We are looking for candidates with a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, and five to ten years in publication sales or related experience. You need the ability to work alone to develop sales leads and to grow the business; experience with Microsoft Office and sales CRM tools; a comprehensive knowledge of the standards industry; excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills; be a team player; and have strong consultative selling process skills. 

The Sales Manager will work remotely, must be located in the Western Region of the United States, and be willing to travel.

Compensation includes a base salary and commission. A full array of benefits are available, most of which are available effective date of hire, and include a 403(b) plan with employer matching up to 6%, and a separate cash balance retirement plan.
