Our Transit Van Drivers help people in the Madison community access the services they need!  Available positions are full-time or part-time, whichever works best for you - and in addition to the paycheck, it’s incredibly rewarding work!

A Badger Bus Transit Van Driver provides customer care through door-to-door service. We assist and transport customers who may not be ‘typically-abled’  by scheduled appointments, helping them to and from destinations in a safe and timely manner.

The Position:

•  Regular Driver License
•  30-70 hours per week
•  Pay to $14/hour
•  Paid training

Strongly qualified candidates will have demonstrated and verifiable experience with safely transporting passengers in a vehicle. 

Transit Driver Position Requirements

• Excellent people skills - Positive customer service abilities

• Regular Driver License

• 3 + years of driving experience

• An ability to obtain a Taxi Driver permit (MGO 11.06 (6))

• An acceptable Driving Record

• Acceptable Pre-Employment Drug Screen Results

• Acceptable Criminal Background Check Result (WI DOT MV3740)

• Ability to lift up to 50# randomly and intermittently

• Ability to use hands, arms to manipulate controls and other objects

• Ability to hear and communicate verbally in person and via electronic means, such as two-way radio, phone, email, and text messaging

• Ability to walk, stoop, crouch, bend and reach

• Ability to use near, intermediate, peripheral and far vision, with appropriate depth perception
