We are seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to join our team.
Position Summary:
Assist in the overall upkeep, repair, and maintenance of campus buildings, grounds, and systems utilizing a preventive maintenance schedule, practicing and ensuring proper operations.
Duties:
JGS Lifecare conducts extensive background checks and professional references for all potential employees. You must be able to provide a recent physical and required immunizations.

We are seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to join our team.
Position Summary:
Assist in the overall upkeep, repair, and maintenance of campus buildings, grounds, and systems utilizing a preventive maintenance schedule, practicing and ensuring proper operations.
Duties:
- Routinely inspects facility, troubleshoots and makes repairs to the mechanical, electrical, air conditioning and plumbing systems, as well as any structural elements on the property
- Ability to operate and manipulate fans, pumps, motors, compressors, refrigeration units, specifications, blueprints, and hand/power tools.
- Paints interior/exterior of the facility
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Participates in preventive maintenance and records the necessary information
- Removes furniture from rooms no longer occupied, and assists in room transfers
- Relocates offices or departments, including disassembling and reassembling of furniture or equipment
- Must participate in on-call rotation and be called back for emergency situations and/or conditions (e.g. severe weather, evacuation, post disaster, etc.)
- Completes all tasks as assigned by supervisor
- Entry level experience with various hand and power tool use required
- Must be able to move frequently throughout the day, proper body mechanics required bending, stooping, turning, stretching, reaching above the shoulders and lifting are involved
- Must have the ability to work effectively with residents, personnel, support agencies, and outside agencies
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs without assistance.
