Job/Internship Description

Position Title: Graduate Intern- Growth, Strategy and Marketing
Reporting Manger Title: SVP, Growth, Strategy and Marketing

Position Summary:

As a Graduate level Intern with the TDECU Growth, Strategy & Marketing team you will roll up your sleeves, create, develop and potentially execute strategic initiatives in a start up based environment where your creativity is the limit. This paid internship opportunity is designed to provide first hand experience in strategic marketing and the financial industry.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1.Establish project strategy based upon market data and indicators
2.Monitor and complete weekly project status updates
3.Assist in execution tactics to launch current initiatives
4.Review and evaluate market insight data to form business case hypothesis
5.Participate in meetings and calls with internal and external partners and vendors
6.Conduct independent research and present findings to executive team
7.Completes all mandatory compliance testing within designated time frame and other compliance assignments including Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), Unusual Activity Reports (UAR), and Security processes.
8.Implements processes as required by the Bank Secrecy Act and TDECU policies and procedures including but not limited to completing and submitting Currency Transaction Reports, being knowledgeable of signs of unusual financial activities, and reporting signs of unusual activity and/or completing reporting for Suspicious Activity Report as appropriate per procedure.
9.Stays abreast of changes within the credit union relating to services and procedures.
10.Actively participates in community relations activities and groups to represent the Credit Union. Actively engage with local Chambers and Economic Development organizations, monitoring news, area publications and key websites, and conduct research into headquarters in the region for all size businesses and associations. Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Currently enrolled in pursuit of a Masters of Business Administration or other related Masters level degree from an accredited university.
Experience: 1-2 years of experience in a professional office environment.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
*Strong balance of creative and analytical abilities; strategic thinking and tactical execution
*Financial acumen
*Passion for financial service opportunities
*Excellent written/oral communication skills
*Advanced proficiency in Excel, Power Point and Word
*Results oriented & self-motivated in a fast-paced, dynamic team
*Attention to detail and able to manage multiple projects at once
*Ability to receive and provide feedback in a professional manner
