Job Description
SEA CORP in Middletown, RI is looking for a Senior Electronics/Electrical Engineering Technician to manage a team of multi-discipline technicians and test engineers, to support design, test, development, integration, installation and testing of submarine systems.

Systems Engineering Associates Corporation (SEA CORP) is a veteran-owned business, based in Middletown, Rhode Island. Job Summary:
In addition to providing leadership to staff, the person will be responsible to manage budget planning for each project and to ensure that efforts and products meet company standards and client needs.
This person will be a Task Manager who will serve as Technical Lead for Special Projects, Alteration Installation Team (AIT) Supervisor, and test director for Pre-Installation Checkout (PICO) Submarine Onboard Verification Test (SOVT).
Duties will also include conducting Physical Configuration Audits (PCA), Functional Configuration Audits (FCA), Testing, and design analyses including but not limited to: thermal management, power conditioning/distribution, Radio Frequency (RF) distribution design, and Environmental Qualification Testing (EQT) compliance. 

Additional Duties to Include:
Create protocol, procedures, and strategies for use with complex test instruments such as high frequency pulse generators, frequency synthesizers, distortion analyzers, network/vector analyzers, and other complex computer control equipment

Conduct analysis of system modernization boundaries to recommend PICO and SOVT testing.  Review fault indications and failure reports to determine probable cause and conduct fault localization testing.   Isolate failure causes to software, hardware, interfaces, or other causes 
Form staffing plans and works strategies for upcoming modernization schedules.  Maintain ship schedules, staffing plans, and provide Task Management for contract and task management support

Act as AIT Lead for shore and ship/submarine installations

Education and Qualifications:
Associate's in Engineering/Technical Field or equivalent training reflected by Navy Enlisted Classification (NEC) system C-school training for Non-Propulsion Electronics Systems (NPES).

  • AN/BLQ-10 Electronic Warfare system design and operations
  • SEAPORT-E Government Contracting and Contract Management
  • One Touch Support (OTS) Navy Inventory Control Point Asset Visibility System
  • Force Inventory Management Analysis Reporting System (FIMARS)
  • Military Standards Invoked by NAVSEA 0902-LP-018-2010 General Overhaul Specifications for Deep Diving SSBN/SSN Submarines (DDGOS)
  • MIL-HDBK-454B, General Guidelines for Electronic Equipment
  • References, specifications and standards invoked by Joint Fleet Maintenance Manual (JFMM) For Electronic Warfare and Submarine Communications Systems, performing pre-installation checkout of the systems, conducting removal and modernization according to technical work documents, and conducting Submarine Onboard Verification Testing.
  • Provide skill development support to lower level technicians
  • Must be certified in multi-pin Connectors IAW MIL-STD-20035A (SA), MIL-STD-2042B Fiber Optic connections, and be proficient NAVSEA Standards Item
  • Candidates must have a general understanding of NAVSEA Manual S0400-AD-URM-010/TUM Rev 06 (Tag out Users), Joint Fleet Maintenance Manual (JFMM), NAVSEA WAF (Work Authorization Forms) procedures, Submarine Warfare Federated Tactical System (SWFTS) System Integrated Installation Management Office (SIIMO) Modernization Logistics Concept of Operations (CONOPS), and NAVSEA 9304.1a
This position requires U.S. citizenship and a current DoD Secret (or above) clearance.
