This position is responsible for the development and implementation of research concepts and proposals in line with Workcred’s mission and vision. An affiliate of the American National Standards Institute (ANSI), Workcred’s mission is to strengthen workforce quality by improving the credentialing system, ensuring its ongoing relevance, and preparing employers, workers, educators, and governments to use it effectively. 2. Principal Responsibilities
Essential Functions
Partner with executive director, governance leadership, and Workcred staff to development and implement research projects that are aligned with the strategic plan, and advance activities to support the organization’s mission, vision, and goals
Write research and consultation proposals based on promoting Workcred expertise and business opportunities
Direct/lead professional and research projects to include data analysis and technical writing for the final reports
Examine business opportunities to define project schedule, costs, and resource requirements and build Workcred’s revenue streams to meet budgetary goals
Write professional articles for publications and develop editorial content for external publication
Write research reports that are accurate and understandable by different audiences
Implement various research designs and methodologies
Utilize and analyze data, draw conclusions, and make evidence-based recommendations
Present on behalf of Workcred and/or represent the organization at meetings and events, as needed
Manage designated subcontractors to ensure execution of deliverables on time and within budget
Prepare reports for ANSI governance bodies (Board of Directors, Executive Committee)
Develop talking points, congressional testimony, and speeches, as needed, for Workcred and ANSI leadership
Create/proof/refine written reports, presentations, proposals, and other deliverables in coordination with Workcred staff
Additional Functions
Contribute to the strategic plan and provide thought leadership for Workcred
Contribute to identifying cutting edge trends in credentialing
Support the Executive Director in seeking and developing business opportunities
Provide consultation to organizations within his/her area of expertise and as a representative of Workcred
Write blogs for publication
3. Education and Experience
Demonstrated success conceptualizing and implementing research projects
A track record of publications
Experience presenting research findings and recommendations at national conferences
Masters degree required; doctoral degree preferred with strong workforce and industry credential experience
Five to seven years of relevant experience

Ability to contribute to preparing budgets, and managing work to meet budgetary projections
Ability to travel to meetings and conferences
