Job Summary: SEA CORP has several openings for full-time System Engineering and Integration (SE&I) Engineer based at customer locations in Manassas, VA and Fairfax, VA. SE&I Engineers are generally former or transitioning Fire Control Technicians with the US Navy. In this position you will analyze requirements and develop test cases and procedures to ensure the correct integration and operation of system software. Additional responsibilities include configuring lab test environments and use of subsystem simulators. The selected candidate will work with collaborative teams to deliver end-to-end SE&I solutions in systems integration, development, and operations support to submarine fleets and the organization. SE&I Engineer basic roles and responsibilities include:
Work with development teams to improve overall processes and push quality upstream
Work with external vendors as required
Analyze test coverage and generate risk reports as necessary
Investigate test failures and determine root-causes
Write clear and concise problem reports and verify software corrections (validation/verification)
Gather feedback for and implement continuous test improvement
Attend meetings as applicable and provide necessary verbal communication
Education and Qualifications: Bachelor of Science in an Engineering Field preferred but not required if incumbent has former military experience with US Navy Submarine Combat Systems (FT, STS, ITS, ETR, ETV); and, Submarine Combat Systems (BYG-1, SONAR, IMAGING, etc.). In lieu of military experience, a Bachelor of Science in an Engineering Field with minimum two year’s professional experience working with submarines is required. Ability to perform as a self-starter, work with minimal supervision and oversight when required. Ability to perform system configuration or troubleshooting procedures. Willingness to work off shift when needed to support schedule needs and travel to support a variety of off-site test events is required.
U.S. citizenship and a current DoD Secret clearance is required.
