Job Description
Job Summary:
SEA CORP, located in Middletown, RI, is a growing company seeking experienced Test Engineers to work with the NUWC Newport Code 25 team to provide Computer Based Training end products for the Navy. SEA CORP performs System Engineering, Architectural Prototyping, Test & Evaluation (T&E), Configuration Management (CM), Quality Assurance (QA), Technical and Engineering Documentation Development, and Program Support.

Software Test engineers are needed to determine software and system test requirements, conduct requirement mapping, develop functional level test procedures, analyze, evaluate and document tests results. The applicant will conduct tests using various software tools and procedures and prepare reports detailing findings and recommendations gathered from testing.  Our test engineers take part in the planning phase, generate test plans and test procedures and utilize engineering data from multiple sources including field notes, manuals and lab reports.  Occasional travel, including day trips and overnight trips, will be required for these positions.

Desired Skills and Experience:
Applicants must be motivated and autonomous, with the ability take to task ownership and independently determine the approach to develop solutions as needed. Must have the ability to work under general supervision and possess strong organizational and communication skills. Must be able to receive/maintain Secret security clearance and be willing to travel.  The following are also highly desirable:
  • Recent ET, FT or IT Navy designation experienced with submarine-related systems and equipment. 
  • A background in test engineering, computer systems, software, information technology and/or automated test tools.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering Field. The advanced technical training curricula packages provided to former military personnel will be considered the equivalent of a technical diploma (e.g., Navy Technical Training “A” or “B” School) or associate degree (e.g., Naval Advanced Training “C” School) in the technical field of expertise.

U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret level DoD clearance are required.
