Center Point DAAC (Drug Abuse Alternatives Center)has an opening for a Part-Time Childcare Worker/Driver within the Perinatal Day Treatment Program. This positions works under the supervision of the Perinatal Program Coordinator. Childcare worker will provide care and assure the safety and well-being of young children under the age of 16 months while clients are participating in the program. The childcare worker will care for the children in the daycare room, provide snacks and help cook an afternoon meal if coverage is needed.

The Perinatal Driver coordinates the safe and timely transportation of Perinatal clients to and from treatment, needed appointments, and other destinations as assigned by the Perinatal Program Coordinator. The Perinatal Driver maintains efficient vehicle maintenance records, and sees that all Perinatal vehicles are kept safe, clean, and fully operational at all times. The Perinatal Driver is responsible for seeing that all safety regulations and Perinatal program rules are observed by passengers at all times.

All applicants for the driver position must have some transportation experience, Be prepared to obtain a valid CA Class B drivers license with a passenger endorsement within 60 days of hire and are subject to DMV and fingerprint clearances.

Must be CPR/First Aid Certified with Adult/Child/Infant CPR. Applicants should have a basic knowledge of addiction and treatment and must demonstrate strong organizational skills. Qualified applicants who are in recovery must be off probation/parole and have at least two years clean time. All candidates must demonstrate the ability to maintain appropriate boundaries with residents and staff both on and off duty, possess good written and verbal communication skills, and demonstrate the ability to maintain productive work relationships with residents, employees, the public and other external agencies.
