Job Summary: The Lifestyle Center is an on-site Occupational Health setting utilizing a multidisciplinary approach through Medical, Rehab and Fitness programs providing Occupational Health and Wellness to employees and contractors. The Athletic Trainer will be responsible for implementation of ATC protocol for Early Intervention Program care in a manufacturing environment, including musculoskeletal screen, appropriate modalities, appropriate taping and or bracings, instruction and demonstration of stretching/job appropriate stretches, home management and instruction, posture and environmental education.
Primary Duties:
Provide traditional therapy assistance to clinical onsite team for treatment of Worker’s Compensation and group medical patients
Implement and begin provisions of new ATC protocol for Early Intervention Program care in a manufacturing environment, including musculoskeletal screen, appropriate modalities, appropriate taping and or bracings, instruction and demonstration of stretching/job appropriate stretches, home management and instruction, posture and environmental education
Conduct POETs when necessary
Conduct onsite job analysis and coaching with assistance of clinical team when appropriate to measure physical demand requirements
Promote EIP program
Promote prevention services and wellness throughout plant
Provide functional instruction after worker has been introduced into work simulation and or work conditioning program
Provide ongoing job coaching and work conditioning care for transitional duty employees as instructed by clinical team
Coordinate patient scheduling and billing
Utilization of Therabill for all documentation
Provide Daily Tracking Log, POET tracker, and report through ADP timecard system promptly. (promptly- on due date)
Scan all documents for EIP into Oscarlink promptly (within the week of)
Complete all Therabill notes for EIP within 24 hours of EIP session
Coordinate and Conduct in an organized fashion weekly EIP meeting with assigned team members
Attend Work Comp calls on behalf of EIP participants
Document EIP appropriately using preventative terms and not diagnosis, treatment and or rehab terminology
Abide by EIP program protocol and flow sheet
Communicate weekly with management to ensure workflow is successful
Immediately report Customer and or participant concerns to management
Work with other team members including nurses and case managers as required
Provide flexible schedule which may not be limited to early mornings and or late evening to service all HD employee needs
ATC will need to be both a team player and work autonomously in delivering EIP services
Become proficient in Oscarlink, Job Able, EvalTech, Therabill, PDA kit, Microsoft Office, ADP, Concur, Trackers, and employer required software and or other systems
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s in Athletic Training and current professional license in practicing state (s) Athletic Training
BLS certification
Demonstrated experience in outpatient clinical skills, first responder skills, and musculoskeletal education
Preferred Qualifications:
2-4 years clinical experience highly preferred, with one year in occupational setting
Knowledge and experience with Electronic Medical Records
Knowledgeable of workplace safety and health and OSHA regulations a plus
Practical Experience:
Demonstrated experience in outpatient clinical skills, first responder skills, and musculoskeletal
education
Occupational/Industrial Medicine preferred
Knowledge and experience with Electronic Medical Records
Knowledge of Medical Terminology
Work Environment: On-site clinic in an industrial setting. Steel Toed Safety Shoes required. Hearing Protection may be required depending upon site. Safety Glasses required.
