Primary Responsibilities
- Ability to lift items up to 50 lbs regularly, climb, crawl and reach into tight spaces
- Must be capable of working individually or with others
- Perform regular maintenance on all types of equipment and keep records of repairs
- Trouble-shoot equipment errors and repair Class 1 - 8 trucks and trailers
- May require some fabrication (drill press, milling machine, lathe, etc.)
- May require out of town and/or out of state work
- Clean and maintain equipment
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Normal working hours are 7/4 with frequent overtime and some work on the weekends
- Minimum 2-4 years of experience working on heavy equipment (Freightliner, etc.)
- Must have diesel mechanic experience
- Must have mechanical clutch experience
- Licensed diesel mechanic preferred
- Welding and fabrication experience required
- Troubleshooting ability
- Must have good communication skills: verbal and written
- Valid driver's license required, CDL preferred
- Some travel within Florida will be required
- Must be able to pass DOT physical and drug screen
