Summary
Under the direction of the Electrical Engineer, the Electrical Designer – Industrial Controls is responsible for assisting in the design of electrical and control systems for all of Pflow’s vertical lifting system solutions using Computer Aided Design (CAD) software, ensuring that designs meet customer specifications and are in accordance with codes, regulations and best engineering practices.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Creates electrical and control system drawings and schematics and includes parts lists and procedures using CADD software (AutoCAD 2004)
Ensures that all electrical control systems meet or exceed engineering standards, applicable codes, safety requirements and customer specifications and are completed within delivery dates and budget
Ensures that all drawings are detailed, accurate, complete and in accordance with customer requirements and company procedures
Reviews and interprets customer specifications and sales agreements
Programs and maintains design layouts and files in the computerized system
Reads and interprets PLC programs
Creates basic PLC programs
Acts as a technical resource for product field support of customers, service personnel and field sales force by assisting in analyzing problems and developing appropriate and effective resolutions
Contributes innovative ideas, skills and work product as part of a small project group and as an individual and demonstrates a willingness and ability for continued learning and skills advancement
Stays current in new developments in the industry
Analyzes customer, electrical and regulatory requirements to develop practical, effective and complete vertical lifting solutions
