Job Description

The role:

The key objective of this position is to manage the development and execution of annual business plans for distributor markets in Latin America and South America. The Distribution Manager is responsible for the profitable development of the Kao business in each assigned distributor market while ensuring brand integrity.

The role requires fluency in Spanish (speak, read, write).

What you will do:

  • Develop and deliver next sales and business profit of distributor business by developing joint business and trade marketing plans in close collaboration with distributor partners, monitor and analyze in market & distributor sales and take action to realize budget.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships and negotiate with distributors, motivate and stimulate distributors to deliver sales and profit targets.
  • Coordinate with distributors and Marketing team to develop commercial strategy (including distribution/channel strategy, portfolio, price positioning, distributor price ladder, brand POG) and high impact trade programs which generate consumer awareness, brand trial, and sales target achievement.
  • Work closely with cross functional teams including but not limited to Supply chain, Regulatory, legal and finance to manage the timely, accurate, and cost-efficient processing of customer forecasts, purchase orders, local sanitary registration, contractual issues and both AR/AP.
  • Work closely with Regulatory Specialist to ensure portfolio is properly registered within each country.

What you will need:

  • Bachelor Degree or higher in business discipline
  • 5+ years distributor management/sales experience preferably with a CPG company
  • 5 years knowledge of marketing and brand building
  • Ability to understand market dynamics and trade promotion
  • Spanish language fluency - verbal and written
