C3 AI is seeking a Payroll Analyst to join our team at our Redwood City offices. In this role, you will be highly involved in various aspects of the Payroll processes and initiatives. We seek a hands-on, self-motivated individual with experience thriving in high-growth environments. Reporting directly to the Payroll Manager, this role offers an opportunity to make a significant impact within our organization.

Please note that this position is full-time and located onsite at our Redwood City office.

Responsibilities:

  • Process semi-monthly, multi state US payroll, including medical benefits, FSA, ESPP, 401(k) contributions and loans.
  • Manage daily stock activities such as exercise and vesting.
  • Work closely with HR team on employee matters including new hires, terminations, leave of absences and other changes that affect payroll.
  • Maintain payroll operations by ensuring compliance with established company procedures and federal and state regulations.
  • Prepare payroll journal entries and assist with GL account reconciliations for month-end close.
  • Participate in quarterly reviews, annual audit, and SOX requests.
  • Provide back-up support for the Payroll Manager.
  • Act as the first point of contact for payroll related questions and inquires.
  • Assist in ad hoc requests including but not limited to 401(k) audit, worker's comp audit, insurance renewals, benefits requests, and payroll cash flows.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a similar field.
  • 3+ years of experience processing U.S. payroll.
  • Experience working in a high-growth company, preferably in the software industry.
  • Proficiency in daily tasks but also adaptable to changing priorities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with NetSuite Payroll is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

California Pay Range
$74,000$94,000 USD
